Dedicated Pencil Beam Scanning Nozzle* |
- The IBA Dedicated PBS Nozzle allows Pencil Beam Scanning with:
- Improved Spot size
- Improved Lateral penumbra
- No use of aperture
- Possible use of range shifting devices (for treatment up to the skin)
- Slice-by-slice irradiation of the target
- Multiple fast repainting
- Dose Uniformity
- Intensity modulation (IMPT)
- Respiratory gating

Uniform Scanning |
The beam spot is moved by magnetic scanning and allows:
- Several mini-irradiations
- Full modulation
- Field uniformity
- Very safe treatment

Slice-by-slice irradiation of the target with millimeter precision.
It offers you the following main advantages:
- Multiple fast repainting
- No use of aperture
- No compensator devices
